Stanley Platos Martin Ross was a designer of high-end cocktail and evening dresses. Stanley Platos worked for Givenchy and Valentino before starting his own design house in 1982. (Source: VFG).
This gorgeous sheath dress has a black velvet body, with metallic gold along the neckline, long sleeves, and hem. Gold area has a chevron pattern with black velvet polka dots, and two roleau buttons along the cuffs.
Dress is fully lined, chest/sleeves with nude fabric and body with black fabric. Zip-up back, with hook & eye closures on the gold part. Has large shoulder pads.

☼ Condition: great. There is a small white stain on the back side near the bottom. Along the upper back underneath the shoulder area, there is some sort of residue on the velvet. It's harder to notice in person, and photographing black velvet with bright lights always makes it look worse than it really is. See photos - price reflects condition.
